Here is a Nitin Singh tutorial I found on Skillshare. He is great with his washes, and I aspire to his level of confidence with shadows.
These are my most favorite brushes - and those who are critical seem to agree that synthetic squirrel is just as good if not better than the real thing. I am not experienced well enough to tell the difference.
I tend to be pretty fond of triangles - scalene in particular. Is this not gorgeous? I smile every time I look at it. Grabbed it at a local antique/thrift shop in Attalla.
Here is a bustling scene from Harajuku in 2010. I believe the original photo was film. So I sneakily captured it from my lap, and didnt know how it turned out until we got back to the US. The Japanese are very private and typically shy away from cameras, but i thought it might be nice to catch this tiny slice of action while i sat down for a quick rest. So many fleeting expressions.
A girls' trip to London and Paris took us on a tour of the usual tourist spots, including the The Centre Pompidou, with its nauseating see-through escalator tubes on the outside of the building. After my homies held my hand and I closed my eyes to get all the way to the treasures inside, including a delightful gift shop, we walked around the area. We stumbled across L'Ecretoire, a tiny endearing stationery and accessory shop. Pens and ink and inkwells galore. I can't wait to go back.
